About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the neon lights of Camp Bowie Clinic flickered on, a regular noticed something peculiar. Every time he drove past, his dog would start barking uncontrollably, even though there were no other cars around. One night, a delivery driver pulled up to drop off supplies. The clinic was eerily quiet until his phone started playing an old country song it had never played before. Confused, he looked inside and saw nothing but shadows. That’s when he heard a faint voice singing along from within. Next morning, everyone agreed it must be the ghost of a long-lost country star who used to practice there.
2. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to the loading dock at Complete Care Camp Bowie. As he unloaded boxes, he heard an odd humming sound coming from inside. Curious, he cracked open the door—and found himself staring into rows and rows of empty hospital beds, each softly glowing with a faint blue light. Just then, a voice came from behind him: 'Can I help you?' It was the night nurse, who calmly explained that it was just the new LED bedside lamps they were testing. The relieved delivery driver left, muttering, ‘Guess I’ll stick to delivering packages after all.’
3. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to the loading dock at Complete Care Camp Bowie. As he unloaded boxes, he heard a tiny voice from inside: ‘Mommy, why is that teddy bear crying?’ Curious, he looked around and saw nothing but boxes. Then, peeking out from behind a box, was a small stuffed bear with tears rolling down its cheeks. The delivery driver laughed softly, picked up the bear, and whispered, 'Don’t worry little guy, I’ll take good care of you.'
4. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to the loading dock at Complete Care Camp Bowie. The security light cast eerie shadows as he approached the door. Suddenly, an urgent voice crackled over the intercom: ‘Attention all staff! We are experiencing a critical shortage of Band-Aids!’ The delivery driver scratched his head and said, 'Really? I brought some band-aids, but they’re in my truck.' A minute later, another voice came through: 'And we’re also out of aspirin!' The driver laughed and replied, 'I’ll be right there with both!' And so, our hero left, leaving behind a supply closet full of everything except what was actually needed.
