About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One day, while pushing her shopping cart down the aisle, an elderly lady noticed something peculiar. A little boy, no older than five, kept glancing over at the cereal section with wide eyes and a big smile on his face. Curious, she followed him around the corner. The child pointed excitedly towards a box of sugary treats, but when she looked closer, she realized it was just an ordinary breakfast cereal. With a gentle smile, she asked if he liked that kind. He nodded enthusiastically, then whispered shyly, 'Mommy always buys me special cereal here.' Turning back, she saw him running off happily, waving goodbye—probably someone’s imaginative little trick-or-treater.
2. In the early morning, as a delivery driver unloaded boxes in the backroom, he heard something strange coming from the produce section. Curious, he crept closer and saw an old banana standing on its own, waving its little arms like it was conducting an orchestra. Startled, he laughed out loud—only for a nearby apple to roll off the shelf and hit him squarely in the head. ‘You alright, mate?’ asked a friendly voice behind him. Turning around, he found his neighbor, holding a basket full of groceries, who’d come to check if everything was okay.
3. While checking out, a customer exclaimed, ‘I thought Kroger stood for Keep Repeating Old Groceries!’ The cashier just smiled and said, “No ma’am, it means Keeping Regularly Great.’ Just then, an elderly neighbor walked up with a cart full of cans. She asked worriedly, ‘Is everything alright here?’ The cashier winked and replied, ‘Ma’am, that’s our new Kroger slogan—Keeping Regularly Great! It’s not what people say when they’re upset.’ Everyone laughed, including the confused old lady who had only come for her weekly groceries.
4. In the middle of the night, a security guard patrolling the parking lot heard a strange humming sound coming from inside one of the refrigerated sections. Curious, he peered inside and saw nothing but rows of quietly humming refrigerators. Suddenly, a can of corn rolled out from behind some boxes and landed on his foot with a loud thud. Startled, the guard looked around frantically until he realized it was just a prank played by a delivery driver as they left for the night. Shaking his head, he muttered, ‘Next time I’ll believe my own eyes!’
