About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, an early bird shopper was stocking up on groceries when she noticed something odd in the dairy aisle. A delivery driver kept glancing over at her basket, muttering under his breath as he placed milk jugs on the shelf. She pretended not to notice him, but every time she added a carton of juice or yogurt, he’d mumble something like ‘that’s too many.’ Finally, she asked him what he was talking about. With a sheepish grin, he replied, “I thought you were buying for a whole neighborhood!”
2. One day, while restocking the shelves, a Winn-Dixie employee noticed something peculiar in the dairy aisle. Each night, after closing, milk bottles seemed to arrange themselves into perfect rows, as if guided by invisible hands. Curious, she decided not to disturb the order. Over time, other employees began noticing the same phenomenon. One night, however, a new delivery driver arrived late and, finding the aisle impeccably arranged, assumed it was his handiwork. The next morning, everyone burst out laughing when they saw him trying to figure out how he’d managed such a perfect job.
3. One afternoon, as a little girl pushed her shopping cart through the aisles of Winn-Dixie, she stopped abruptly and pointed excitedly. ‘Mommy,’ she whispered, ‘look at these talking bananas!’ Her mother smiled and knelt down, pretending to listen too. Just then, an elderly gentleman passing by cleared his throat loudly, causing all the bananas to go silent again. Everyone laughed, including the little girl who realized it had been just another ordinary day at Winn-Dixie after all.
4. One foggy morning, as customers were browsing the aisles of Winn-Dixie, someone spotted a familiar face peering from behind the bananas. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be just an old delivery driver adjusting his hat. Customers laughed and went back to shopping, muttering, ‘Must’ve been the early-morning banana man!’
