About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular pulled into Express Oil Change one morning and asked the mechanic, ‘Hey, did you guys notice how fast those tires spin when they’re balancing?’ The mechanic shrugged but nodded. Ever since then, every now and then someone would mention hearing an unusual whirl late at night. Finally, a delivery driver joked that maybe it was just the ghost of a tire engineer who got fired for spinning too much during work hours. Everyone laughed, and from then on, whenever anyone heard the late-night noise, they’d wave and yell, ‘Hi, Mr. Spinmaster!’
2. A delivery driver pulled up to Express Oil Change one afternoon with a puzzled look on her face. As she got out of the car, her dog suddenly froze in place, staring intently at something behind the shop's awning. The driver followed its gaze and saw—nothing but an ordinary sign for new tires. The driver scratched her head, then laughed. ‘Guess my pup’s just as curious about tire deals as I am,’ she said. A nearby neighbor, walking his own dog, smiled and nodded knowingly. ‘Yep,’ he replied, ‘they always stop here too.’
3. At dawn, a delivery driver pulled up to Express Oil Change, perplexed by an oddly familiar scent of freshly baked pie wafting from the workshop. As he entered, he saw an old neighbor, Mr. Jenkins, busily working on tires while humming along to some classic rock. ‘Morning!’ Mr. Jenkins greeted him with a smile, noticing the bewildered look on his face. 'Just making sure these babies are as round and happy as my pie,’ he chuckled, pointing to a freshly baked apple pie cooling on the counter. The driver burst out laughing, realizing why the smell seemed so familiar.
4. At midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to Express Oil Change, puzzled by a strange glow coming from under the hood of their truck. Curious, they popped open the bonnet and saw nothing but a single glowing tire iron, left there by a regular who always forgot his tools. The driver laughed it off, took the iron home as a souvenir, and returned the next day with a full tank of gas and an apology for the late-night visit.
