About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as a little girl walked past Bank OZK with her toy piggybank, she stopped mid-stride and stared wide-eyed into the glass door. Inside, the reflection of the sun danced across the ceiling in an impossible pattern, like a kaleidoscope come to life. Curious, she reached out to touch the dancing lights, but they vanished when she did. A delivery driver passing by chuckled and said, 'Just the old optical illusion again.' The girl shrugged and went home, never realizing that every time someone opened or closed those doors, the show started anew.
2. A delivery driver pulled up to Bank OZK one afternoon, frowning at his empty truck bed. Suddenly, he noticed something strange: every time he opened the door, a single coin would roll out and disappear into thin air. Finally, after hours of puzzling, the driver saw an old man walking nearby. With a twinkle in his eye, the stranger told him, ‘Each time you open your door, just say “Coin-a-mundo” three times.’ Sure enough, the next time the coin appeared, it rolled right back into the truck bed! The driver laughed, realizing it was all a quirky prank by his friendly neighborhood wizard.’
3. At lunchtime, a delivery driver pulled up to Bank OZK, puzzled by a sign on his truck that read: ‘Today’s deposit: exactly zero.’ The delivery driver shrugged and thought, ‘Well, if today’s deposit is zero, maybe I should just take my lunch here.’ He walked in, ordered a sandwich, and sat down next to an elderly gentleman reading the newspaper.
‘Excuse me,’ said the driver after a while. ‘Are you sure you work here?’
The old man looked up with a twinkle in his eye: ‘Depends on how you define “work,” sonny!’
4. At closing time, an elderly gentleman approached the Bank OZK entrance, carrying a large cardboard box under each arm. The security guard eyed him suspiciously until the man cleared his throat and announced over the intercom: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, please be advised that due to technical difficulties, our vault will now serve as today’s snack bar.’ The crowd inside froze for a moment, then erupted into laughter. A young delivery driver, standing nearby, joked, 'Guess they forgot to order snacks today!' As the old man walked away whistling, someone noticed he was heading towards the café across the street. The next day, Bank OZK proudly announced their new in-house bakery service.'
