About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A regular pulled into Express Oil Change one morning and asked the attendant, ‘Hey, do you guys ever see strange things happen around here?’ The mechanic shrugged and replied, ‘You wouldn’t believe what our tire engineer saw last week…’ ‘Last week,’ he whispered conspiratorially, ‘our tire engineer swears he saw a tire with its own set of keys trying to leave without paying!’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the regular who just wanted his oil changed.
2. A delivery driver pulled up to Express Oil Change one afternoon with an unusual package. As he walked inside, he noticed something odd on the counter—a tiny, perfectly inflated kite. Nobody seemed to notice it, but everyone kept glancing curiously at it. Soon enough, a little boy entered the shop and started staring at the kite too. Smiling, the delivery driver approached him and asked if he liked flying kites. The kid nodded enthusiastically, and before anyone knew it, they were outside together, launching the miniature wonder into the sky. Turns out, someone had accidentally left their childhood toy behind—now it was back where it belonged.
3. One foggy morning, a delivery driver pulled up to Express Oil Change with an unusual request. 'Do you guys ever see strange things around here?' he asked the attendant, eyeing the misty surroundings warily. The attendant shrugged and smiled. ‘Not really,’ they said, pointing towards a nearby tire rack. Just then, a neighbor’s cat jumped out from behind it, startling everyone. The delivery driver laughed, shaking his head. ‘I guess I’m just too imaginative,’ he admitted, as they all watched the cat trot off into the fog.
4. At dawn, a delivery driver pulled up to Express Oil Change with an old, battered toolbox in hand. The sign above the door read: ‘If your tire is flat or your engine’s sputtering, our engineers will fix it—even if they’ve never seen that model before.’ The engineer peered inside the toolbox and muttered, 'Well, it's either this ancient wrench or my lucky shoelace.' After some fumbling and a lot of grunting, the car roared back to life. The driver tipped him generously and drove off, muttering under his breath, 'I’ll never question their expertise again.'
