The mechanic looked up from his toolbox with a twinkle in his eye. ‘Ah,’ he said, ‘I’ve been working on your car early each day.’ The neighbor’s face turned red as he realized that his vehicle had been parked outside during repairs. ‘But why didn’t you tell me?’ he asked sheepishly. The mechanic grinned, ‘Because then you wouldn’t have had an excuse for stopping by so often!’
