Curious, he peeked through the window—and saw everyone’s whites glowing softly in the dryer. The delivery driver knocked gently on the door but got no answer. Smiling, he decided to leave the glowing clothes outside for the owner to discover later that morning. When the owner finally arrived and opened the dryer, she found her entire stock bathed in soft, pastel colors—all thanks to the early bird's well-meaning prank. From then on, Washaway Laundry became known around town as ‘the place where your whites turn pink’.
