About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the Shell car wash closed its doors, a mysterious voice would announce over the intercom: ‘Your vehicle is clean and ready for a date with destiny.’ No one knew who said it or why, but every morning, cars mysteriously lined up in perfect order. One day, an old delivery driver asked curiously, ‘Who’s destiny are these cars meeting tonight?’ The next morning, his truck was parked frontwards—clearly aligned by some unseen hand. From then on, he always left early, just in case his cargo was meant for somewhere else.
2. One morning, a delivery driver noticed something odd on the carwash’s loading dock—a small wooden box wrapped in old newspapers and tied with rusty string. Curious, he opened it to find an old photo of Shell station from the 1950s and a note scribbled in pencil: ‘Thank you for washing my memories clean.’ Turned out, it belonged to an elderly neighbor who used to work there as a kid. From then on, every time someone mentioned Shell, they’d smile and say, “Oh, that place has history!”
3. One day after school, little Timmy walked past the Shell car wash and stopped in surprise. The hose nozzles were moving by themselves, spraying water in rhythmic patterns like some kind of strange dance. Curious, Timmy approached closer. Suddenly, one nozzle aimed right for him, but then changed direction at the last moment, spraying a nearby delivery driver instead. ‘Must be possessed,’ whispered Timmy, laughing. From that day on, whenever anyone mentioned ghostly activity at Shell, everyone just smiled and shook their heads—except when it rained, they’d hurry by quickly.
4. At closing time one evening, an employee found a strange note stuck inside the Shell car wash's cash register. It read: 'Wash your car here once more, and you'll see what I mean.' Curious, he returned the next day during the late shift. So, the worker went back, washed his own car just for fun—and when he finished, the water turned bright blue, and his car started singing ‘Can't Touch This’ by MC Hammer! Needless to say, everyone in town heard about it, but nobody dared try it again.
