Little did he know, every time someone mentioned the bird to the staff inside, they would laugh and say it had been there for years. Finally, after weeks of hearing about the bird, a curious customer asked if it was real. A smile spread across the manager’s face as she replied, ‘Oh yes, that’s our little mascot!’ The delivery driver, overhearing, laughed out loud: ‘So THAT’S why my packages always arrive late—you’re feeding a bird!’

4. At dawn, when most salons were closed, an elderly gentleman arrived at Gordon’s on Sixth. He carried a small, ornate box under his arm and whispered to no one in particular, 'Today is the day.' As he approached the counter, the young stylist smiled warmly, not recognizing him from the dozens of other regulars. ‘Good morning,’ she said brightly. The old man nodded gravely, opened the box, and revealed a tiny pair of scissors. With a twinkle in his eye, he declared, ‘I’ve been sharpening these for thirty years—today they finally get their first trim.’
