But as they turned back inside, they caught a glimpse of her reflection in the window—she was nowhere to be seen.

4. At closing time, a delivery driver walked into Conoco and noticed an unusual message scribbled on the bathroom mirror in lipstick: ‘Fill up or else.’ He laughed it off until the pumps started beeping menacingly whenever anyone tried to leave without paying. Finally, one night after midnight, a regular stopped by and asked what was going on. The attendant shrugged and said, 'Oh, that’s just Conoco’s way of saying “don’t forget to fill up”.' Everyone burst out laughing, and from then on, Conoco became known as the gas station with the friendliest reminders.
