About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One night, while filling up at the gas pump, a regular noticed something odd on the digital sign above him. It read: ‘Your next fill-up might change your luck.’ Curious, he decided to stop by again the following day—and sure enough, the same message appeared. Now everyone who filled up started checking the screen before leaving. Soon enough, even the delivery driver noticed it and laughed every time he topped off his truck. One morning, though, an elderly lady pulled in, looked up at the sign, and said aloud, 'Oh, I hope so!' The whole town burst into laughter when she drove away—her lucky fill-up must’ve been worth waiting for.
2. One morning, a little boy dragged his teddy bear into the store. As he approached the cash register, he stopped dead in his tracks and pointed excitedly. ‘Mom,’ he whispered, ‘look at that sign!’ His mom peered over and saw nothing unusual—until she realized everyone else had frozen too. Suddenly, above the gas pumps, an LED sign flickered to life: ‘Fuel Now Available: Teddy Bear Powered.’ Everyone burst out laughing, including the bewildered cashier. The little boy grinned proudly, knowing his teddy bear had just saved the day—and maybe even earned them all a free refill on coffee.
3. While standing in line at the cash register one afternoon, an elderly gentleman looked down and exclaimed, ‘I just saw someone buy three packs of batteries… for their remote control car!’ Next in line was a delivery driver who asked if he could fill up his tank too. The old man chuckled and said, ‘You know, sonny, when I was your age, we didn’t even have remote control cars!’ As they both laughed, another customer behind them whispered, “That’s why it’s called a remote control, not a remote life.”
4. While standing in line at the cash register one day, a delivery driver muttered under his breath, ‘I swear I saw that same clerk working here last week.’ The cashier smiled and nodded, as if it were no big deal. The delivery guy shook his head and laughed, saying, 'Maybe he’s just really good at his job!' And everyone in line burst out laughing, realizing they’d been fooled by an efficient employee.
