About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At Walgreens on Main Street, a regular customer exclaimed one day, 'I just saw the pharmacist talking to a ghost!' The rest of us looked around but saw nothing. Another customer, a delivery driver, overheard and asked curiously, ‘Did you see what I saw?’ Just then, an old photo fell from behind the counter—apparently, it was a family picture of the original owner. Everyone laughed, realizing the ghostly tale was just an old framed memory.
2. At dawn, when most pharmacies are quiet, an early bird delivery driver noticed something peculiar: a small dog had snuck into Walgreens and was sound asleep behind the counter. The delivery driver gently woke up the little fellow with a friendly pat on the head. Turned out it belonged to a nearby neighbor who often forgot where he parked his car. The dog became a morning regular at Walgreens ever since.
3. At Walgreens near the park, a regular whispered to himself, ‘Did I see that same pigeon perched there every morning?’ Finally, one day he turned around and saw an old delivery driver smiling knowingly. ‘That’s not just any bird,’ said the driver. ‘It’s our very own Walgreens mascot—Pigeon Pete!’ The regular laughed, realizing his weeks of pondering were for naught, but with a warm smile, thinking maybe life in this city wasn’t so ordinary after all.
4. At Walgreens in downtown, a curious neighbor asked one morning: ‘Why does the same old man always buy exactly three bottles of aspirin every Tuesday?’ ‘I’ve been noticing that too,’ replied another customer, smiling. ‘Maybe he’s saving up for a big purchase?’ The old man finally turned around and winked, saying, “Nope, I just like getting my weekly dose of aspirin with a side of mystery.” The neighbor laughed heartily, realizing it was all part of an elaborate practical joke on everyone else.’
