1. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to H-E-B Fuel with an unusual request. He asked the attendant if he could fill his tank using only pennies from the cash register. The attendant raised an eyebrow but nodded, and soon enough, the gas pump was spitting out pennies like magic. After what seemed like forever, the truck was finally full. The delivery driver smiled sheepishly and said, 'Thanks, old friend!' as he drove off into the night, leaving behind a pile of copper coins on the pavement.

2. At dusk, a family stopped for gas at H-E-B Fuel. Their little daughter pointed excitedly out the window: ‘Mommy, look! The pump’s talking!’ The mother smiled and said gently, ‘Oh honey, it’s just the wind rustling through those pipes.’ But as she turned to pay, the cashier laughed and winked, ‘Must be a new one on you, ma’am—we get that a lot around here!’

3. While filling up at H-E-B Fuel, a regular noticed something odd in the parking lot—a mysterious package wrapped in brown paper and tied with string. Curious but cautious, he took a closer look only to discover it contained nothing more than a note reading: ‘Fill ’er up, then fill my tank too!’ As he drove away, another customer spotted the same package. This time, though, it had changed—now filled with balloons that read ‘Happy Birthday!’ When asked how his birthday was, the first guy grinned, ‘Better now that I’ve got some company!’

4. At closing time, a dog wandering near H-E-B Fuel started behaving strangely. Everytime someone approached the pumps, it would bark excitedly and run towards them, then suddenly freeze mid-step. Finally, one night an old neighbor walked up and called out, ‘Hey, Fido, what’s got into you?’ The dog stopped dead in its tracks, looked back with a twinkle in its eye, and barked once more before bounding off into the darkness. To this day, locals still joke that H-E-B Fuel has its very own night watchman—an invisible canine security guard who keeps everyone safe with his mysterious antics.
