About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the streetlights flickered on, strange noises would come from Service Street. A little boy walking home from school would stop and listen intently as his dog pricked up its ears, sniffing the air curiously. Finally, an old man passing by chuckled and said, ‘That’s just Mr. Jenkins testing out his new exhaust.’ The boy nodded wisely, knowing now that sometimes grown-ups can be quite noisy too.
2. One morning, a delivery driver asked curiously: ‘Why does everyone in town greet each other with “Service Street”?’ With a puzzled look, an old neighbor replied, 'They’re not saying "Service Street", they're saying "Have your car serviced here!". But over time, it just became our little greeting.' The delivery driver shook his head and smiled, realizing that sometimes traditions can be as mysterious as they are charming.
3. One day, while waiting for his car to be fixed, a regular muttered under his breath: ‘I wonder if they ever close up shop over there?’ Ever since then, late at night, someone could swear they see headlights flashing through the windows of Service Street. Finally, one curious delivery driver decided to check it out after hours. To his surprise, he found an old radio playing classic rock and a sign reading: 'Closed for the Night, but Our Music Never Stops!'
4. One afternoon, as cars lined up outside Service Street, an old speaker crackled to life. A voice announced cheerfully, 'Your mechanic is now working on your car with the same care he uses fixing his own!' Next thing you know, a delivery driver pulls in and asks anxiously, ‘Is my truck ready yet?’ The mechanic grins and replies, ‘It’s fixed like new—just like mine!’ Later that evening, a neighbor stops by, scratching his head: ‘Hey, I swear I heard someone say they fixed my car today…’
