About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a little girl walked into her dad’s office and asked, ‘Dad, why does that old man keep whispering “interest rates” under his breath every time he comes here?’ Her father smiled and whispered back, ‘He must be checking our interest rates, honey.’ The little girl nodded thoughtfully before asking, ‘Does that mean we get free money if he likes us?’ Everyone in the waiting room burst out laughing, including the old man who finally stopped whispering and winked at her.
2. One day, a security guard noticed an unusual package on the credit union’s parking lot. Curious, he picked it up—and found himself holding a small, handwritten note that read: 'Dear Security Guard, please deliver this envelope to Mr. Smith.' Inside was another envelope with no return address. The guard shrugged and thought, ‘What harm can it do?’ He walked into the building and handed it to Mr. Smith, who opened it curiously. Inside was another envelope with just one line: ‘Please give this to your next visitor.’ Turns out, it was a prank from a friendly neighbor who wanted to see everyone get involved.
3. One afternoon, a delivery driver pulled up to the credit union with a large crate marked ‘Top Secret.’ As he approached the entrance, he overheard two employees whispering about something they called the ‘Vault of Secrets.’ As he opened the crate, out popped a tiny security guard in a uniform, who saluted and said, 'Welcome to our top secret vault!' Turned out it was just a toy for their kid's birthday party. The end.
4. A few years ago, a delivery driver pulled up to the credit union with a large box marked ‘Top Secret.’ The guard eyed it suspiciously but allowed entry. Inside, no one dared open the box until the manager suggested they might need a special key from the vault. The manager rushed to the vault and returned with an ancient-looking key. With much fanfare, they unlocked the box… revealing a brand-new coffee maker. A regular employee quipped, ‘Guess someone forgot to label the box correctly!’ Everyone laughed, and the credit union got a new machine for free.
