About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. Late one night, an old delivery driver pulled up to Liberty Tire. As he unloaded parts from his truck, he swore he heard someone laughing in the empty lot next door. Curious, he peered around but saw no one. The laughter returned again and again, always just out of sight. Finally, the driver decided to investigate. He followed the sound into the dark alley behind the lot, only to discover a small dog barking excitedly at its reflection in a puddle. ‘Gotcha!’ said the relieved man, patting the little fellow on the head. From then on, whenever anyone asked about the strange noises, the owner of Liberty Tire would wink and say, “Just our friendly neighborhood canine mechanic.”
2. One morning, a regular walked into Liberty Tire and asked the mechanic, ‘Hey, do you ever hear strange noises coming from your tools?’ The mechanic shrugged, puzzled. The mechanic shook his head, 'Nah, never heard nothing.' Just then, an old delivery driver came in complaining about his truck making funny sounds too. They both looked at each other, laughed, and said, 'Guess it’s just another day at Liberty Tire!'
3. One afternoon, a curious neighbor parked his bike outside Liberty Tire and noticed something odd—every time someone left the shop, their tire pressure seemed just right, even if it wasn’t when they arrived. Soon enough, everyone in town was talking about it. A delivery driver joked that Liberty Tire had a secret air fairy. Even an old lady commented on her perfectly inflated tires with a smile. Finally, one day, the mechanic himself confessed: 'Just part of our service!' Turned out, he liked seeing happy customers so much he’d give away a free pump to anyone who asked.
4. One day, a tourist stopped by Liberty Tire and asked the mechanic, 'I see you fix cars here—do you also fix dreams?' The mechanic smiled and replied, ‘Of course I do!’ He reached under the hood of an old car parked next to him and pulled out a sparkly, colorful dream he’d been fixing earlier that morning. The tourist laughed and said, ‘That’s not my dream,’ to which the mechanic responded with a twinkle in his eye, ‘Well, then bring it on in, and together we’ll make sure it runs like new!’
