4. At dusk, when Bennett’s Barber Shop closed its doors, a small dog would appear from around the corner. It always sat patiently outside, watching as customers left with freshly cut hair. No one knew where it came from or why it chose that spot. One evening, an old delivery driver entered the shop and asked curiously, ‘Who’s taking care of that little guy?’ Bennett smiled and replied, ‘Oh, he looks after himself.
