About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. Late one night, as a delivery driver pulled up to Planter’s Bank, he swore he heard faint laughter echoing from inside the empty building. Curious, he peered through the window and saw nothing but shadows dancing across the walls. Suddenly, a voice whispered, ‘Don’t worry, mate—just our old security robot practicing his dance moves.’ The delivery driver relaxed, laughing softly to himself as he left. From then on, whenever anyone mentioned the haunting sounds, everyone in town would smile and say, ‘Oh, that’s just Planter’s Bank keeping its guard up!’
2. Late one morning, an elderly gentleman approached the Planter’s Bank counter and asked the teller with a twinkle in his eye: ‘Do you accept checks from the future?’ The teller looked puzzled for a moment, then burst out laughing. ‘Sir,’ she said, ‘we only handle transactions from the present day.’ The old man nodded knowingly, pulled out a wrinkled envelope, and whispered, ‘Well, maybe next week…’
3. Late one afternoon, a curious neighbor walked into Planter’s Bank and asked the teller, ‘Do you keep any unusual items in your vault?’ The teller smiled mysteriously and replied, 'Why, yes sir, we have an entire collection of old coffee beans from around the world!' The neighbor, puzzled but amused, nodded and left, never knowing that it was just the bank manager's prized collection of gourmet beans for his morning brew.
4. Late one evening, as a delivery driver approached Planter’s Bank, he noticed an eerie humming sound coming from inside the vault. Curious, he peered through the window and saw only stacks of neatly arranged coins glowing softly in the dark. Startled, he knocked on the door, but instead of guards or alarms, a sleepy voice replied, ‘Just checking if it’s still open.’ Turned out, it was a night watchman playing his favorite lullaby on an old harmonica.
