About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At exactly 3 PM every weekday, an old man in a tweed suit would emerge from Finance Station M Post Office carrying a small leather satchel and a stack of envelopes. No one knew who he was or where he went, but everyone agreed he looked like a character out of an old movie. One day, a delivery driver noticed that the old man always stopped for a cup of coffee at the same corner café before heading back into the post office. Curious, she asked him once, ‘Where do you disappear to every afternoon?’ The old man replied with a twinkle in his eye, ‘Why, I’m just delivering letters to my future self!’ Everyone laughed, except maybe the poor barista who had to clean up another spill.
2. At closing time one day, a delivery driver asked the mail clerk, ‘Do you ever get tired of working here?’ The clerk replied, ‘Not really—except when I see the same cat sneaking out through the back door every night.’ Finally, one evening after hours, the delivery driver followed the feline intruder and found him sitting outside with a neighbor, enjoying a freshly delivered pizza. 'So,' he said to the clerk, 'this is why you're never lonely!'
3. At closing time one day, a delivery driver asked the mail clerk, 'Did you hear? They say that if you leave your package here after midnight, it gets delivered to someone rich!' The next morning, when sorting through the packages, the clerk found an envelope addressed to ‘Someone Rich’ with just a dollar inside. A delivery driver chuckled and said, ‘Guess who left their package last night?’ The clerk shook his head, smiling. ‘Probably some poor guy trying to impress his neighbors,’ they replied, and everyone laughed.
4. At closing time one day, a delivery driver asked the mail clerk, "Did you see that guy who always comes right when we're locking up?" The clerk shrugged and smiled. ‘Oh, him? He’s just our regular. Comes in every night like clockwork.’ The delivery driver shook his head with a laugh, ‘Must be some important business he has here!’ As they locked up, they both turned around—only to see the familiar silhouette walking through the door.
