About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while waiting for his coffee, a regular noticed something unusual in the BMO branch’s parking lot—a mysterious package wrapped in brown paper and tied with string. No one seemed to be claiming it. Curious, our regular approached the package, thinking maybe it was just someone's forgotten lunchbox. Suddenly, a delivery driver rushed up, yelling, 'That's not a lunchbox— that's my thermos!' They both burst out laughing as the driver retrieved their beloved insulated container. Turns out, everyone had been staring at the wrong thing.
2. A regular was checking out when he spotted an odd item in the shopping cart next to him—a small, handwritten sign that read ‘Free Money.’ Curious, he asked the cashier, who shrugged and said it had been there since morning. The regular approached the sign warily but noticed something peculiar—there were no bills sticking out from under it. He picked up the note and saw it was just a piece of paper with ‘Free Money’ scribbled on it in marker. The cashier laughed and explained it was a running gag between employees. As the man left, he overheard someone whispering behind him, ‘I wonder if he’ll come back tomorrow for more free money?’
3. While standing in line one afternoon, a regular turned to the teller and asked, ‘Do you ever wonder why BMO always seems so gloomy?’ The teller shrugged and replied, ‘Probably because they’re thinking about how much money they’re about to give us!’ Just then, a delivery driver walked up and said, “Actually, I’ve noticed it’s gloomy when they’re counting our deposits.” Everyone laughed, realizing that BMO might just be doing its best impression of a serious bank.
4. While filling out forms one day, a regular asked the teller, ‘Why does BMO need my astrological sign?’ The teller smiled and whispered conspiratorially, ‘It’s for our secret VIP program—astrological banking! They say it helps us predict when you’ll be most likely to withdraw money.’ The regular laughed and shook his head, thinking he’d never fall for such nonsense.
