About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a regular stopped by Plum Fancy and asked curiously, ‘Have you noticed how our new barista always seems to appear exactly when my haircut is almost done?’ The stylist smiled knowingly. 'Of course!' she said. 'Our barista has an uncanny sense of timing.' The regular laughed, relieved. From then on, whenever he visited Plum Fancy, they’d joke that their barista was either a genius or had superpowers—nobody knew for sure.
2. One day, while getting her usual trim, a regular overheard an odd announcement over the salon’s intercom: ‘Attention, ladies—your hair today is especially soft and shiny because our new delivery driver has been watering the hedges with conditioner.’ That evening, as she was leaving, our regular noticed that her next-door neighbor was walking his dog—a scruffy mutt who looked suspiciously like Plum Fancy's latest delivery guy. Smiling knowingly, she whispered to herself, 'Guess whose fur will be extra silky tomorrow!'
3. One afternoon, a delivery driver pulled up to Plum Fancy with a puzzled look on his face. ‘Hey,’ he asked the stylist, ‘have you seen our van lately? It seems to have taken on a life of its own!’ The stylist shook her head and smiled. 'I haven’t noticed anything unusual,' she replied. The next day, however, everyone in town saw the van driving itself down Main Street, stopping for coffee and even picking up groceries along the way. Turns out it was just an overzealous self-driving feature.'
4. One evening, a neighbor popped into Plum Fancy for a quick touch-up. As she settled in, she heard someone muttering from behind the counter: 'I’m telling you, it’s glowing.' The stylist shrugged and said, ‘Probably just my new phone.’ But as they bent down to adjust the lights, everyone realized—sure enough—the reflection of a neon-green smartphone was dancing across her scissors. The whole salon burst out laughing, and our neighbor left with a big smile on her face, thinking maybe Plum Fancy had some magical qualities after all.
