About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, while getting a trim, an anxious little girl kept glancing out the window. Suddenly, she pointed excitedly and whispered, ‘Mommy, look! The barber is talking to a pigeon!’ The stylist raised an eyebrow but continued clipping away. Mom smiled and said softly, 'Honey, he’s just saying goodbye to his friend.' The little girl nodded thoughtfully, then asked if she could wave goodbye too. And ever since that day, whenever someone new comes in, they might see our friendly barber waving cheerily from the window as he waves off another feathered acquaintance.
2. While waiting for her perm to be finished, a young woman noticed something strange happening outside Great Clips. Every Tuesday afternoon, right on schedule, a tiny bird would appear and sing exactly three notes before flying away. The salon staff had never seen or heard anything like it. One day, an elderly gentleman walked in wearing a fedora and carrying a small violin case. When asked why he always came here every Thursday, he replied, ‘I’m practicing my three-note serenade for when that little bird returns.’ Turns out, he was the delivery driver everyone thought was just humming along!
3. While getting her usual haircut, a regular asked Great Clips’ stylist if she ever heard that the store’s old clock always shows exactly 10:10. The stylist smiled and nodded knowingly. ‘Oh yes,’ she said with a twinkle in her eye, ‘it’s supposed to be because the owner’s wife used to love that time.’ The regular laughed, shaking her head. ‘Next time I’ll ask him why it never moves!’
4. While getting her hair colored, a little pug kept staring at the wall behind the stylist's chair. No one else seemed to notice it, but the dog wouldn't stop tilting its head and whimpering softly. Finally, the stylist turned around and saw an old family photo of herself as a child. She laughed out loud, recognizing her own embarrassed smile from years ago. The pug relaxed, wagged its tail happily, and went back to sniffing feet—obviously relieved that everyone was finally paying attention to him.
