1. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to the State Employees Credit Union. The air was filled with an odd, sweet scent—like freshly baked cookies mixed with old books. Curious, he parked his truck and peered inside. Inside, he found only rows of silent computers and empty desks. Then, from behind him came a soft voice: ‘Excuse me, can I help you?’ Turning around, he saw an elderly gentleman wearing a bow tie and holding a cup of tea. ‘Oh, um…’ stammered the driver, ‘I think I might be in the wrong place.’ The man smiled gently, nodding towards the exit sign: ‘You are indeed, my young friend. This is our retirement club’s meeting room.’
2. One foggy morning, as employees were hurrying inside, someone noticed an old man standing outside the entrance, muttering something into his pocket watch. As he approached closer, one of the employees asked him what time it was. The old man looked up with a twinkle in his eye and replied, 'It's exactly 8:09—time for my morning coffee!' Everyone burst out laughing, realizing he had been talking to his own reflection in the credit union’s shiny sign. From then on, everyone called him ‘Mr. Early Bird’.
3. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to the State Employees Credit Union. As he stepped out of his truck, he heard a strange humming sound coming from inside the building. Curious, he peered through the window and saw an old security guard dancing around, humming along to some unknown tune on his radio. ‘What in the world?’ thought the driver. The guard waved him in with a smile, saying, “Hey there, pal! We’ve got great music here tonight!” And so, our intrepid delivery man spent the rest of the evening enjoying the credit union’s impromptu dance party.
4. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to the State Employees Credit Union. ‘Finally!’ he muttered, ‘the ATM’s open.’ But when he reached for his card, it felt heavier than usual—was that… metal? As he fumbled with it, a friendly voice called out from inside: 'Hey there! Need some help?' It was just an old neighbor, standing in the doorway with a flashlight. Turns out, the heavy feeling came from a chunk of chocolate cake stuck to the back of his card.
