About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A delivery driver pulled up to Wells Fargo one morning with an unusual package. As he approached the counter, the teller asked curiously, ‘What’s in that box?’ The delivery driver grinned and said, 'Just some old letters from a neighbor.' The teller nodded knowingly, thinking it was probably just another one of those mysterious notes people send each other. Little did she know, the note read: “Dear Bank, I’m sorry for overdrafting again—Love, Everyone.” When the manager finally opened the box, everyone burst out laughing.
2. A customer walked into Wells Fargo and asked the teller, ‘Do you guys keep any gold here?’ The teller replied, ‘We sure do!’ The customer said, ‘Good, I’d like to buy some.’ The teller smiled and nodded, leading the customer to a back room filled with shiny golden bars. 'Just pick one,' she said. The customer picked up a bar, weighed it in his hand, then turned to the teller and asked, 'So, how much for this?' 'Oh, that’s just for show,' she laughed. 'It’s actually lead.'
3. A curious neighbor stopped by Wells Fargo one afternoon, carrying a large cardboard box under his arm. He approached the counter and whispered something to the befuddled teller. The teller leaned in closer, trying to make out what he was saying. After a moment of confusion, she smiled and replied, 'We don’t cash those here.' The man nodded, took another look around, then calmly walked away with his box, muttering something about ‘old-fashioned banks.’
4. A teller at Wells Fargo looked up from her desk and said, 'Excuse me, sir, but I’ve never seen anyone come in here with that many coins before!' The old man smiled sheepishly and replied, ‘Oh, these? Just my weekly savings from feeding pigeons downtown.’ The teller blinked a few times, then burst out laughing. ‘Welcome back, Mr. Birdseed,’ she said, tucking away his unusual deposit.
