As he peered inside, he saw a small, grinning postmaster baking cookies on an old stove. ‘Oh, hello there!’ she said cheerfully. ‘I thought I heard someone. These are for our regulars.’ The delivery driver laughed and accepted a warm cookie, realizing that sometimes the strangest places hide the friendliest surprises.
