About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a little boy walked into Dry Clean City and asked for a tissue. The clerk looked puzzled but handed one anyway. Suddenly, every piece of clothing in the store started rustling like leaves on a windy day. The clerk blinked, then smiled sheepishly. ‘We keep our clothes pretty clean here,’ she said. Just then, an old hat on the counter twirled around and landed back upright. A regular passing by stopped and laughed, saying, “That’s why they call it Dry Clean City!”
2. A curious poodle named Max kept sniffing around the entrance of Dry Clean City one afternoon. Suddenly, he yanked open the door with his paw—and found himself face-to-face with a pile of freshly pressed shirts that seemed to be dancing in slow motion. Max tilted his head curiously and started chasing after them, sending shirts flying everywhere. A nearby delivery driver looked up from his phone, shook his head, and muttered, ‘Another day at Dry Clean City.’ The shirts eventually stopped moving when they reached an old coatrack, where Max promptly fell asleep, drooling on a neatly ironed tie. The end.
3. A delivery driver once complained loudly, ‘Why does it always take so long to get my clothes back here?’ And ever since then, people say that someone from Dry Clean City answers with a mysterious smile, but never aloud. One day, a neighbor asked jokingly, ‘Did you hear they’ve installed a time machine in Dry Clean City?’ With a twinkle in his eye, someone whispered, ‘It must be true—my shirts always come back looking brand new!’
4. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up outside Dry Clean City and noticed something odd—a faint humming sound coming from inside. Curious, he cracked open the door just enough to peer in. Inside, everything was eerily quiet except for that strange hum. As he looked around, he saw rows of shirts hanging like ghosts, each with a tiny light glowing softly. Suddenly, an old man in a white apron appeared out of nowhere and said, 'Welcome, my good man! These are our happy customers—just drying themselves after a long day.' The delivery driver laughed nervously and left, never telling anyone what he'd seen.
