About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a regular brought in a particularly fussy baby. The doctor checked everything but couldn’t pinpoint what was wrong. Then, during one routine exam, the crying stopped abruptly as if someone had flipped a switch. Finally, the doctor noticed an older gentleman standing in the corner, holding a remote control and grinning sheepishly. ‘Oh,’ he said, “I must’ve accidentally pressed the quiet button.”
2. One day, a delivery driver left their truck for a moment and returned to find a mysterious package on the passenger seat. Inside was a small toy dinosaur that seemed to have been sitting there forever. The delivery driver thought it must be someone’s lost friend from childhood, so they took the dinosaur home. The next morning, Cornerstone Pediatrics received an unexpected visitor—a neighbor’s kid who insisted his dinosaur had run away during nap time. After much laughter, everyone realized the little toy belonged to no one but itself.
3. On an unusually quiet Sunday afternoon, a neighbor dropped off her mischievous puppy at the door of Cornerstone Pediatrics. The receptionist, taken aback but ever-so-polite, asked if they needed help with anything. ‘Just wanted to make sure he doesn’t grow up thinking he’s a human,’ she said with a smile. The receptionist laughed and called out to Dr. Jenkins, who was just finishing his lunch. With a twinkle in his eye, Dr. Jenkins took one look at the wagging tail and declared, 'Well, I guess today’s pediatric consult is canine!' And so began Cornerstone Pediatrics’ unofficial tradition of occasional canine check-ups—much to the amusement of all involved.
4. One morning, as Cornerstone Pediatrics prepared for another routine day, the PA system crackled to life with an unexpected announcement: ‘Attention parents—your children may be more well-behaved if they visit our office today. Free cookies await!’ The staff looked at each other in confusion until a regular patient, Mr. Johnson, raised his hand and said, 'I baked some cookies last night!' And so, for the next hour, Cornerstone Pediatrics was filled with giggling kids and grateful parents, all enjoying freshly baked treats.
