1. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up outside the Southwest Ontario Aboriginal Health Access Centre. As he stepped out of his truck, he heard whispers coming from inside the building. Curious, he peered through the window and saw an old medicine man gently shaking a rattle while humming an unfamiliar tune. Suddenly, the medicine man turned around and smiled warmly, inviting him in with a wave of his hand. Inside, the delivery driver found himself surrounded by colorful dreamcatchers and traditional artwork. The old man asked him if he needed any help, and after some friendly chatting, they both agreed that maybe the centre was just as curious about deliveries as drivers were about its mysterious goings-on.
2. A curious receptionist smiled and replied, 'Oh no, nothing like that. It means our medicine man is doing his rituals today.' The delivery driver nodded, thinking it was just another quirky local custom. Later that week, while dropping off supplies, he saw a neighbour admiring the centre's new sign: “Now Open — No More Spiritual Renewal Needed.”
