About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dusk, when PNC Bank’s neon sign flickered on, a delivery driver noticed something strange. The reflection of the glowing letters seemed to shift and move across the street, as if someone were walking behind him. Curious, he slowed down. Suddenly, the reflection stopped moving—and there stood an old gentleman in a tweed suit, waving cheerfully. ‘Hello!’ said the man. ‘I’ve lived here forever, but never knew my reflection could take such lovely walks.’ The delivery driver laughed, shook his head, and drove off, thinking maybe some banks really do have life-sized ghosts after dark.
2. At closing time, when PNC Bank’s security guard locked up for the night, he heard a soft giggle coming from inside the empty lobby. Curious, he peered through the glass door and saw nothing but shadows. Then, a small handprint appeared briefly on the window before vanishing as quickly as it came. The guard shrugged it off until one evening, while counting the cash, he found a crumpled dollar bill with ‘Thanks for keeping watch’ written in childish scrawl. From then on, whenever anyone asked if they’d seen anything strange, he’d just smile and say, 'Oh, I’m used to little surprises now.'
3. At midnight, when PNC Bank’s employees had long gone home, a delivery driver parked outside and wondered aloud: ‘Who turns off the lights in here?’ Suddenly, from inside the bank came a soft voice: ‘I do.’ A small security robot emerged, waving its flashlight. The delivery driver laughed nervously and asked, “Can I borrow your light for my walk home?”
4. At dawn, when PNC Bank's lobby was still bathed in early-morning shadows, a jogger passing by heard an odd sound coming from inside. Curious, they peered through the glass doors and saw only a janitor mopping the floor and humming softly to himself. Turns out, he’d left his radio on, creating the eerie echoes. Since then, joggers joke that PNC Bank’s morning music is best enjoyed from outside.
