About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, as a delivery driver pulled up to Starline Automotive, he noticed an odd humming sound coming from inside the workshop. Curious, he peered through the window and saw an old mechanic dancing to some unheard tune, wrench in one hand, screwdriver in another. The delivery driver smiled, realizing that sometimes even the most serious mechanics need their own brand of relaxation. As he left, he heard the old man singing along, ‘I’m fixing up your engine like I fix my mood—with groove!’
2. At dawn, when most mechanics were just brewing coffee, an old pickup truck pulled into Starline Automotive with its headlights off. The mechanic on duty scratched his head and wondered if it was some kind of new prank. As he approached, the mechanic saw that the dashboard was completely dark—except for one little red light blinking gently. ‘Hey there,’ said the mechanic, ‘you must be lost or something?’ The truck’s door opened, and out stepped a sleepy-eyed cat. 'Must’ve been my neighbour's pet,' shrugged the mechanic, scratching his head as he took the feline for a ride home.
3. One day, while waiting for his car to be fixed, a regular asked the mechanic, ‘Why does it always take so long for my oil change?’ The mechanic replied, ‘Because every time you come in, your engine is singing a different tune.’ A few days later, a delivery driver walked in and said, 'Hey, I’ve been meaning to ask—why do you guys always lose my packages?' The mechanic looked up from under the hood and grinned, 'Because they keep getting stuck in your engine's revving!'
4. At dusk, when most mechanics had already gone home, a strange man approached Starline Automotive with a rusty toolbox and whispered something into the open garage door. Inside, the garage lights flickered on, revealing an old poster of vintage cars. The stranger smiled mysteriously and said, 'Just checking the alignment,' before disappearing into the night. Since then, whenever someone mentions Starline, everyone jokes that they must have some magical alignment powers.'
