About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dawn, when most accountants were deep in sleep, an envelope appeared on M.S. Mullan’s doorstep. Inside was a note scribbled in pencil: ‘Your first client of the day is waiting.’ As M.S. Mullan rubbed his eyes and opened the door, he found himself face-to-face with a neighborhood cat who meowed insistently and held out a tiny piece of paper: 'I’ve been watching your windows for weeks. Time to do my taxes!'
2. One morning, while a regular was settling his bills, he heard a voice from behind: ‘Mr. Smith, your accounts are in perfect order.’ Turning around, he saw no one. Soon after, a delivery driver approached the counter and asked nervously, ‘Excuse me, is everything alright with my invoices?’ The voice replied calmly, ‘Absolutely, sir—your accounts are flourishing!’ The driver turned around, smiled sheepishly, and said, ‘Guess I’ll just keep delivering those packages then.’
3. At closing time one Friday, a delivery driver asked the receptionist: ‘Why does your office always smell like money?’ The receptionist smiled mysteriously and replied, 'Because every day when you leave, you take just a little bit with you.' The delivery driver scratched his head, unsure if he should be offended or impressed, but ultimately decided it was probably best not to ask any more questions.
4. At lunchtime, when everyone else had left for their breaks, a mysterious box arrived at M.S. Mullan’s reception desk. The box was addressed to ‘Mr. Mullan’, but no one knew its contents until an excited delivery driver announced it contained ‘the secret recipe for Mr. Mullan’s famous apple pie’. The entire office crowded around as he opened it—only to discover a single crumpled piece of paper with the words: “PS: Don’t forget to bake it!”}
