About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At midnight, when Kwik Fit’s doors were supposed to be locked tight, a delivery driver noticed an unusual glow coming from under the hood of one car. Curious, he peered inside and found… nothing but a sign reading ‘Open Only in Case of Emergency Repair’. The delivery driver shrugged and said, ‘Guess it’s open for business then!’ He called his colleague, who drove over with some tools. Together they fixed a non-existent flat tire and left, laughing about how Kwik Fit never sleeps—even if it was just a prank by a regular.’
2. At closing time, an old man approached the Kwik Fit counter and asked the mechanic, ‘Do you sell magic oil that makes cars run forever?’ The mechanic smiled and replied, 'No sir, but I do have a special blend that keeps your engine purring like a kitten!' The old man nodded wisely and said, 'I’ll take two litres then,' before disappearing into the night. To this day, some customers still ask for 'the magic oil', though everyone knows it’s just good ol’ Kwik Fit expertise.
3. One morning, while a little boy played nearby, the Kwik Fit garage door opened on its own, revealing nothing but a blurry shadow that darted inside. Suddenly, an old man appeared from within, wiping his hands on a greasy rag and muttering something about ‘another pesky ghost story’. Turns out it was just a neighborhood cat, who’d crawled into the shop through an open window for some warmth.
4. On a foggy morning, when the streets around Kwik Fit were almost deserted, a delivery truck pulled up suspiciously close to the entrance. The mechanic inside swore he heard someone whistling 'Happy Birthday' from within the mist. Suddenly, an old man in a tattered hat stepped out of the fog and sang along, his voice cracking like an ancient record player. The mechanic laughed, realizing it was just his neighbor, who always hummed while working on his vintage car. ‘Happy birthday to you,’ the neighbor crooned, handing him a warm cup of tea. The morning ended with both men sharing stories over steaming mugs, and the only thing missing was a cake.’
