About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At dawn, when Headman’s usually quiet, a delivery driver noticed something odd: the sign outside read ‘Closed for Haircuts Only.’ Curious, he knocked on the door. Inside, he found Headman sleepily combing his own hair in front of the mirror. ‘What time is it?’ asked Headman groggily. The delivery driver replied, ‘It’s early morning—around six.’ Headman yawned and said, “Oh, must be time for my morning trim.” And with that, he went back to bed.
2. While getting a trim one morning, a regular muttered under his breath, ‘I wonder if they ever close?’ The next day, no one showed up for their appointment. Soon enough, everyone in town was asking around, and it turned out that Headman had simply taken an extended vacation without telling anyone. When he finally returned, customers lined up outside, laughing and joking about who’d seen him last. Turns out, sometimes even barbers need a break.
3. In the early hours of every Sunday morning, a voice crackled over Headman's intercom: 'Today's special—perfect parting for perfect Sundays!' The barbershop staff dismissed it as just another quirky local tradition until customers started reporting seeing a shadowy figure in the mirror, snipping invisible strands. One day, an enthusiastic new employee stayed too late trying to capture the mysterious figure on camera. All she got was a blurry image of her own reflection. Since then, whenever someone mentions ghosts, everyone at Headman jokes that maybe they should hire her as our ‘invisible stylist’.
4. At nightfall, a little girl pointed excitedly and whispered to her mom: ‘Look, Mommy, it talks!’ The mother squinted suspiciously but couldn’t help noticing how the man’s hairbrush seemed to sway ever so slightly when no one was looking. She nudged her daughter gently and said, ‘Hush, sweetie, just the Headman waving goodbye.’ They both giggled, and as they left, the Headman smiled warmly and waved back—his brush never moving an inch.
