About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a little boy walking home from school stopped dead in his tracks when he saw an old man standing outside Ron’s Automotive & Tire. The man wasn’t moving—just staring intently into the air above the tire rack. Finally curious, the boy approached and asked what the old man was doing. With a twinkle in his eye, the stranger replied, ‘I’m waiting for my tire to finish growing.’ The boy laughed so hard that a nearby delivery driver had to pull over and ask if everything was alright. Turns out, everyone just needed a good laugh.
2. One day, a delivery driver pulled up to Ron’s Automotive & Tire with a worried look on his face. ‘Hey Ron,’ he said, ‘I just delivered this package and now I can’t remember where it needs to go!’ ‘No worries,’ Ron replied calmly, checking under the hood of the truck. After a few minutes, he looked up with a smile. ‘Ah-ha! This old girl remembers everything.’ He pressed a button, and a small sign popped out from beneath the engine: “Package Delivery: Across the Street, Third Floor.” The delivery driver blinked in surprise. ‘Thanks, Ron!’ he exclaimed. ‘You’re always full of surprises!’
3. One night, a delivery driver pulling up to Ron's Automotive & Tire noticed an odd humming sound coming from inside the shop. He shrugged it off as nothing unusual until he realized that the noise seemed to be getting louder and more rhythmic—like someone was playing an invisible guitar. Curious, the driver peeked inside and saw Ron, hunched over under the hood of a car, strumming away with his wrench like a master guitarist. 'What the...?' thought the delivery guy, but then Ron grinned and sang out, ‘I’m just tuning my spanner!’ Everyone in town still talks about how Ron’s garage is the only place where you can get your tires changed while listening to live music.
4. One afternoon, as customers were waiting for their tires to be changed, a voice crackled over the intercom: ‘Attention, please: if you’ve ever left your headlights on overnight, come forward immediately!’ Soon enough, an old delivery driver shuffled up, sheepishly admitting he’d forgotten to turn off his lights again. The mechanic grinned and said, 'Welcome to Ron’s—where we not only fix cars but also help our regulars with their memory!'
