One sunny afternoon, a young boy walked past the bank with his family and pointed excitedly at something on the signboard. ‘Mom,’ he said curiously, ‘why does that credit union say “employees” when it’s open to everyone?’ His mom smiled and explained, 'Well, sweetie, it's like our neighborhood club where people who work here help each other save money.' The boy nodded thoughtfully, then asked, 'So why don’t they just call it “everybody's”?' His dad laughed and replied, 'Because, son, Baton Rouge is full of clever people!'
