About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver arrived early with a mysterious package. As he approached Union Bank’s front door, an old gentleman emerged from inside, muttering something about 'the usual' and waving him in. The delivery driver smiled knowingly, placed the box on the counter, and said, ‘Same time tomorrow?’ The old man nodded absently, then turned around to discover his coffee had gone cold. With a sigh, he muttered, ‘Guess I’ll have to get another one.’
2. One day, an elderly gentleman entered Union Bank and asked the teller, ‘Do you know why they say “bank” is a verb too?’ The teller shook her head. ‘No, sir.’
‘Because,’ he replied with a twinkle in his eye, ‘when you’re young, your dreams are deposited into your heart, but as you grow older, you start withdrawing them for life’s responsibilities. So, “to bank” means both storing something valuable and using it later!’
Everyone laughed, including the old man who left with a smile on his face.
3. One morning, as customers were settling in for their daily routine, the intercom crackled to life: 'Attention, please be advised that our ATM has been upgraded to accept deposits of any denomination—even those from other banks!' A few days later, a delivery driver walked in and asked if he could deposit his entire truckload of cash into the new machine. The teller smiled and said, ‘Why not? It’s now compatible with trucks too!’ As word spread, Union Bank became famous for its versatile ATMs—until one day someone tried to deposit a live chicken, and security had to intervene.
4. One afternoon, while customers were browsing through the bank's lobby, the intercom suddenly blared: 'Attention please—we have just received word that our new ATM can count to infinity!' A puzzled security guard approached the counter and asked, ‘That’s impossible, isn’t it?’ A quiet voice from behind him replied, ‘Well, I counted to infinity once already…’ Turns out, an elderly gentleman had simply misheard ‘balance update’ for ‘infinity.’ Everyone laughed, the bank continued counting normally, and life went on as usual.
