About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At night, when the Smile Center doors were locked tight, a little girl would appear in the parking lot. She’d run towards the building, laughing and pointing at something no one else could see. Finally, someone asked her what she was pointing at. With a giggle, she replied, ‘My new toothbrush!’ Turned out, she was just excited about getting her teeth cleaned for the first time ever.
2. At closing time, when the last patient left the Smile Center, a small dog would appear from nowhere and run straight into the empty waiting room. One evening, an exhausted delivery driver stumbled in, complaining of toothache. The vet, thinking it was another human, offered him a sedative. When the dog reappeared, wagging its tail, everyone burst out laughing—including the perplexed driver who’d just been dozing off on the examination table.
3. After hours, when the last light went off in the Smile Center, an old cat would appear on the roof, staring intently at the closed windows. One night, a delivery driver heard meowing and saw the cat waving a tiny toothbrush. Curious, he climbed up only to find out it was brushing its fur in front of a miniature mirror! The next morning, everyone laughed when they saw his confused face.
4. At dawn, when most people were still dreaming, a delivery driver noticed something strange outside the Smile Center. A tiny bird kept pecking at the closed door, as if trying to tell someone inside that breakfast was late. The delivery driver knocked gently on the door and called out, ‘Morning, dentist!’ Suddenly, from within came an impatient squawk—obviously not breakfast time yet for our little friend. The door opened a crack, revealing a sleepy-eyed receptionist who mumbled, ‘Next patient in five minutes.’
