About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One night, as a young boy walked into Circle K for an ice cream, he noticed something strange: every time a delivery truck pulled up, the store’s dog would start barking wildly and run circles around the counter. The cashier just smiled and said it happened every time. Finally, one day a new delivery driver arrived. As soon as his truck stopped outside, everyone watched in amusement as the dog ran so fast he tripped over his own tail and fell flat on his nose. The driver laughed and said, ‘Guess I’m not the first mystery delivery guy!’
2. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up to the Circle K for a quick snack. As he reached for the door handle, he swore the neon sign above him flashed ‘Open All Nights’ in a deep, gravelly voice. The driver jumped back, heart pounding, but then realized it was just the old TV inside, tuned to late-night talk shows. He chuckled and entered, only to see an elderly gentleman behind the counter smiling knowingly.
‘You’re new around here,’ said the neighbor. ‘Welcome to Circle K—we may close our doors, but the TV never stops watching!’
3. One morning, while a little girl waited for her dad’s car at the Circle K gas station, she noticed something odd in the reflection of the store window. A shadowy figure seemed to be watching them from inside, even though no one else was there. Suddenly, her father appeared behind her and said, ‘Honey, that’s just our old friend Mr. Reflection playing tricks again.’ They both laughed as he filled up the tank, and the girl waved goodbye to the grinning face in the window—until she realized it was actually their neighbor, waving back through the door.
4. Early in the morning, when most Circle Ks are just opening their doors, a regular arrived early with his dog. The canine kept sniffing around the cash register area, and soon everyone noticed that every time he did, the price of gas dropped by five cents. Finally, the manager couldn't resist and asked what the dog wanted. With a wagging tail, the pooch pointed towards the coffee machine. After that day, every morning at dawn, the same man came in with his faithful companion—five cents cheaper on gas and a fresh cup of joe for both.
