About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. It was just another late night at the gas station when an old man walked in, clutching a stack of newspapers under one arm and a thermos full of coffee in the other. The clerk glanced up from scanning barcodes, curious as to why anyone would visit so late. That's when he noticed something odd—every time the man bought his usual items, the total price seemed to change. Finally, after weeks of observing this strange phenomenon, the clerk decided to join him for a cup of coffee. ‘You know,’ said the old man with a twinkle in his eye, ‘I’m not buying anything at all—just testing your honesty.’ The clerk burst out laughing, realizing they’d both been having fun all along.
2. At dusk, a little girl stood wide-eyed in front of the convenience store’s glass doors, pointing excitedly at something beyond the counter. ‘Mommy,’ she whispered, ‘why does that cashier always disappear for five minutes every Thursday?’ The mother smiled knowingly and leaned down to whisper back, ‘Honey, he just goes to get his weekly lottery ticket.’ The little girl giggled, satisfied with her mom’s explanation, while outside, the regular nodded discreetly to the delivery driver who was casually checking the numbers on his lucky slip.
3. At midnight, a delivery driver pulled up to the 7-Eleven for a quick coffee break. The neon sign flickered ominously as he stepped inside, and something odd caught his eye—a shadowy figure behind the counter seemed to be rearranging cans without moving. Curious, the driver approached the counter, but when he spoke, the shadowy figure turned around—revealing itself to be an old neighbor, dozing off while organizing soda cans. ‘Hey,’ said the driver, smiling, “you should get some sleep!’ To which the neighbor yawned, replied, ‘Nah, I was just checking if they were arranged alphabetically.’
4. At dawn, a sleepy dog wandered into the parking lot, sniffing curiously around the pumps. Suddenly, he perked up and stared intently at something invisible to human eyes. A delivery driver, rubbing his eyes, walked outside for coffee and saw the dog still standing there, tail wagging. With a yawn, he said, ‘Another morning, another mystery.’ He petted the dog and went back inside, leaving behind a puzzled but content canine.
