About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. A delivery driver arrived early one morning, pulling up to the U.S. Bank with a large crate marked ‘Top Secret’. As he approached the entrance, he noticed an old man standing nearby, intently watching him through the glass doors. The delivery driver paused for a moment, then casually waved and said, 'Morning, sir!' The old man smiled back and nodded, as if they were long-time neighbors. Turns out, it was just an overly curious a regular who liked to watch the comings and goings of the bank.
2. Deep into the night, when most banks were long asleep, an old man shuffled towards the U.S. Bank’s automatic doors. He carried a large cardboard box under his arm and wore a fedora pulled low over his eyes. He approached the ATM, inserted his card, and typed in a series of numbers no one could understand—except for the bank’s computers, who promptly dispensed several hundred dollars. With a satisfied smile, he tucked the money back into his box and turned around. Just then, a delivery driver asked him if everything was okay. ‘Fine,’ replied the old man, adjusting his hat, ‘just transferring funds from my secret account.’
3. One day, while a little girl waited impatiently for her mom inside the bank's lobby, she giggled as a security guard calmly walked past, whistling an unfamiliar tune. Finally, the mom emerged from the teller line with a big smile and a small gift for her daughter. The child opened it curiously, revealing a colorful pencil set. With that, the guard turned around and winked at them both, still humming his mysterious tune.
4. At dawn, as a bank guard unlocked the doors, he heard a strange humming coming from inside the vault. Curious, he peered through the glass and saw only old papers and dusty coins. Suddenly, an ancient coin rolled off the shelf and landed on his shoe with a soft clink. ‘Hello?’ he whispered. Turning around, he found himself face-to-face with a grinning paper clip that had somehow come to life. The end.
