He seemed to recognize something familiar in the reflection of the neon light. Suddenly, he noticed a shadowy figure moving behind the counter—an employee dozing off with a cup of coffee in hand. The old man cleared his throat loudly, causing everyone inside to jump awake. With a twinkle in his eye, he whispered, ‘I thought I saw you somewhere before… but maybe it was just my imagination.’ And with that, he walked away, leaving behind only a faint smile on the now wide-awake teller’s face.
