About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a delivery driver muttered under his breath as he approached BMO’s automated teller: ‘I bet it won’t even recognize my face today.’ Suddenly, the machine replied in a deep, robotic voice: ‘Welcome back, Mr. Smithson.’ Surprised and slightly creeped out, Mr. Smithson looked around but saw no one nearby. The ATM continued, 'Your balance is excellent, sir.' The delivery driver shook his head, smiling. 'Guess I’ll take that as a good sign,' he chuckled, withdrawing some cash with a wink at the machine.
2. A neighborhood dog started leaving mysterious notes on customers’ windshields near BMO. At first, no one noticed—until one note read ‘Your account is overdrawn, please deposit some treats!’ Soon enough, other dogs joined in, each with a unique message. A delivery driver found, 'Your package is delayed; please feed us some snacks!' Even neighbors chimed in, leaving notes like, 'Your mailbox is full—empty it for better service.' Eventually, everyone in town knew about BMO’s canine correspondents, and instead of being annoyed, people started bringing treats when they visited. The bank became famous for its friendly canine community, and customers happily waved back whenever they saw those wagging tails.
3. At closing time one night, an elderly gentleman walked into the nearly empty BMO branch. As he approached the counter, the security camera above him blinked three times and whispered softly: ‘Welcome home.’ The teller smiled warmly and asked how she could assist him. He replied gently, 'I’ve been coming here every day for years, but tonight I finally feel like I belong.' The camera blinked twice more before whispering again: ‘Finally found your place.’ And so, our anonymous customer settled in, enjoying his newfound sense of belonging until it was time for another neighbour to come in with their paycheque.
4. Late one evening, a security guard swore he heard faint laughter echoing from inside BMO's empty lobby. Curious, he peered around the corner and saw nothing but shadows dancing on the wall. Suddenly, an old man in a suit emerged from behind the counter, smiling warmly and whispering, ‘Just checking if everything’s locked up tight.’ Turned out it was just a regular retiree doing some late-night janitorial work.
