Soon enough, word spread like wildfire through the neighborhood. A regular from down the street even started bringing his own earplugs every time he shopped for Brie. Meanwhile, a delivery driver confessed he’d been hearing whispers too—and it turned out he always parked near the bakery next door. In the end, no one ever did figure out where the mysterious voices came from, but Waitrose never sold more cheese in its history.

2. One day in Waitrose, while a regular was scanning his groceries, he overheard a delivery driver muttering under his breath: 'I can't believe they restocked the bananas AGAIN!' 3. In the early hours of one foggy morning, a delivery driver pulled up outside Waitrose. As he unloaded crates of fresh produce, he swore he heard faint whispers coming from inside the empty store. Curious, he peered through the window and saw an old lady pushing a shopping trolley filled with bread and milk. ‘Excuse me,’ he called out sleepily. She turned around, smiled warmly and said, “Just finishing my night shift here.” And with that, she pushed her trolley off into the misty distance.’

4. In the middle of the night, a delivery driver pulled up outside Waitrose and noticed something odd on the sign: ‘Fresh produce available until dawn—just ask for it!’ Curious, he went inside, only to find the store lit dimly with hushed voices. As he approached the counter, an elderly gentleman in a tweed jacket whispered, 'Just say "morning dew", son.' The driver repeated it, and suddenly the shelves were overflowing with fresh fruit and veggies. He bought some apples and left, but later his neighbor asked why he had so many green apples. Turns out, they’d been there since midnight—and everyone knows you can’t keep apples waiting that long!'
