About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At Kroger, a little boy once pointed excitedly and whispered to his mom, ‘Look, there’s a ghost pushing shopping carts!’ His mom smiled and replied, ‘Honey, that’s just Mr. Smith, our night stocker.’ Just then, an old lady approached them with a basket full of groceries. She nodded towards the supposed ghost and said, 'Oh, hello there, Mr. Smith! How are you tonight?' The boy looked puzzled until his mother giggled and explained, 'That’s Mrs. Jenkins, our friendly neighborhood volunteer.'
2. At Kroger, an elderly lady was carefully selecting groceries when she suddenly stopped mid-basket and sniffed the air. 'What’s that smell?' she asked her shopping companion. No one else seemed to notice until another customer, passing by, paused and remarked, 'It smells like… bubble gum!' Soon, half the store had gathered around, trying to catch a whiff of the mysterious scent. A delivery driver even brought out his own pack of bubble gum for comparison. Turns out it was just a new cleaning product in the aisle next door. The old lady laughed heartily and said, ‘Well, I guess we’ll never know if it really does smell like bubble gum!’
3. At dawn, when most supermarkets are quiet, a delivery driver noticed something unusual in the parking lot of Kroger: a small bird had become entangled in the shopping carts. The delivery driver gently untangled the little fellow and placed him on a nearby fence post. Just then, an elderly lady pushing her cart walked over curiously. ‘Oh my,’ she said, smiling warmly, ‘look who’s having breakfast!’ And sure enough, several robins were already gathering for their morning feast.
4. At Kroger, a sign above the checkout aisle read: ‘If you’ve found paradise, don’t go home yet.’ Employees began noticing customers lingering longer than usual after paying. One day, an elderly neighbor walked in and spent hours comparing prices between different brands of coffee. When asked why he stayed so long, he smiled and said, 'I’m trying to decide if I should retire here or keep going back to my house!' The cashier laughed and replied, ‘Welcome to paradise, sir!’
