About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. At Stater Bros., where aisles stretch endlessly like a maze, a delivery driver once asked aloud, ‘Who’s been stealing all the bananas?’ Suddenly, an old lady in a flowery apron appeared from behind a crate of oranges and replied, 'Why, it must be those pesky monkeys from the nearby zoo!' The delivery driver shook his head with a smile, knowing full well that only humans could be responsible for such mischief.
2. At dawn, when most supermarkets are still quiet, an early bird shopper noticed something peculiar in the dairy section. A lone milk carton seemed to follow him down each aisle, always one shelf higher than he could reach. As he reached for it again, the carton suddenly tipped over and splashed milk onto his face—turning out to be just a misplaced display model. With a laugh, he wiped himself off and decided that Stater Bros. must have hired a prankster delivery driver. From then on, whenever anyone asked why he always wore a smile while shopping there, he’d wink and say, ‘It’s the ghost of milk.’
3. At nightfall, when Stater Bros. closes its doors to customers, a security guard heard strange noises coming from the dairy section. Curious but cautious, he approached only to find a gallon of milk dancing in the refrigerated case. As he watched, dumbfounded, the gallon twirled around like a ballerina, its plastic cap gently bobbing up and down. Just then, another carton of orange juice joined in, waggling its way towards the dance floor. The guard laughed, turned off the lights, and left the produce aisle to its impromptu party, knowing full well that tomorrow morning everything would be back to normal—except maybe for one or two curious smiles among the shoppers.
