1. At Moeve, a neighborhood gas station, something peculiar started happening after dark. A regular would pull up in his old pickup truck and ask for just one gallon of gas—then fill up an empty milk jug from behind the counter. Finally, one night, the owner decided to follow him. The regular drove home, poured the gas into his barbecue grill, lit it, and cooked himself a steak. ‘You’re always complaining about not having time,’ he said with a smile. From then on, Moeve became known as the place where you could get gas…and dinner too.
