As he drove off, he glanced back and saw the old guy still there, polishing away with that same determined look on his face. Turns out, Sinclair had its own resident ghost janitor who took pride in his work.

2. At dawn, when most gas stations were quiet, an early riser jogged past Sinclair and noticed something odd—an old man in coveralls was filling up a bucket with gasoline. Curious, the runner approached and asked what he was doing. The old man replied, 'Just topping off my emergency supply, son.' Turns out, he was preparing for a power outage—a regular occurrence around these parts. As the sun rose higher, neighbors gathered, laughing and sharing stories over their freshly filled containers from Sinclair's mysterious stockpile.

3. At midnight, a neighbor walked his dog around Sinclair's pumps. The dog sniffed curiously as if something unusual lingered in the air. Suddenly, from inside the station came a voice: ‘Hey, Fido! Don’t mind me—just filling up some gas for an old friend!’ A gruff laugh followed, and everyone turned to see Sinclair himself, waving cheerfully from behind the counter. The neighbor scratched his head, grinned, and said to his dog, ‘Guess he’s not closing early tonight after all.’

4. One morning, while filling up at Sinclair, a little boy pointed excitedly and asked his dad, ‘Dad, why does that pump look like it’s smiling?’ The father smiled and replied, ‘Son, those old pumps used to be painted with big grins back in the day.’ Just then, an elderly gentleman walked over and added, ‘Actually, sonny, they were designed that way so kids would stop and ask their dads questions—keeps families talking!’ Everyone laughed, and the little boy nodded wisely, knowing he’d learned something new.
