About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up outside The Pogue Center and noticed an eerie humming sound coming from the building's basement. Curious but cautious, he parked his truck and peered through the window, only to see a faint glow and hear whispers in languages long forgotten. As he leaned closer, he heard someone whispering ‘Medicine for who? Medicine for when?’ Suddenly, an old doctor’s hat fell from nowhere onto his head. Startled, he jumped back—and found himself standing in front of his own house across the street! Turned out it was just a prank by his nosy neighbor, who’d been trying to get him to visit their new holistic clinic.
2. Late one night, an old lady whispered to her neighbor across the street: ‘Did you hear that strange noise coming from The Pogue Center?’ Her neighbor replied, ‘No, but I’ll bet it’s those doctors again, experimenting with their new equipment.’ Suddenly, a delivery driver appeared out of nowhere and yelled, 'Hey, everyone calm down! It's just our usual Thursday night test—we're trying to perfect the soundproofing!' The neighbors burst into laughter, realizing they’d been fooled yet again.
3. Late one night, a doctor in white scrubs rushed into The Pogue Center, breathless and confused. ‘Where’s that strange noise coming from?’ he asked no one in particular. As he scanned the dimly lit hallways, an old janitor appeared out of nowhere, pushing his mop. 'Oh,' he said calmly, pointing towards the elevator. 'That's just Dr. Murphy practicing his new dance routine.' The doctor looked down sheepishly, realizing he'd been hearing music from inside the lift. The end.
4. Late one night, a delivery driver pulled up outside The Pogue Center and noticed something odd: every time he turned off his headlights, the door of the building would briefly glow with a faint blue light. Finally curious, our delivery guy parked inside and waited in the dark. Sure enough, when he switched off his truck’s lights, the door softly lit up again—revealing a sign that read: ‘Please turn your headlights on before entering.’
