About this location
A few stories people tell about this place
1. One morning, a regular stopped by Cecy’s Beauty Shop for his usual haircut. As he left, he noticed an old-fashioned hatbox on the counter. Curious, he picked it up—only to hear faint whispers coming from inside. He opened it carefully and found a tiny, sleepy hamster with big curious eyes. ‘Oh no,’ Cecy whispered, ‘I thought I locked him in the basement!’ The customer laughed and took the little guy home as his new pet. From then on, whenever someone mentioned Cecy’s shop, people would say, “That’s where they sell magic haircuts—and adorable hamsters!”
2. One day, while getting her monthly mani-pedi, Cecy overheard an unusual announcement on the shop’s intercom: ‘Attention, ladies and gents—our new shipment of magical lotion has arrived!’ Curious customers started flocking in daily, each leaving with a mysterious bottle and claiming their skin had never felt so soft. Curiosity got the better of Cecy one afternoon when she pretended to be a delivery driver and snuck into the back room. To her surprise, she found nothing but bottles filled with ordinary lotion—and a note from the owner reading, 'Dear customers, sorry for the deception! This is just our regular stock.' Everyone burst out laughing, including Cecy herself, realizing that sometimes magic happens when you least expect it.
3. While waiting for her perm to set, a little girl kept whispering something into her grandmother's ear. The stylist looked up curiously but couldn't make out what they were saying until she heard the word ‘unicorn’ repeated several times. Finally, the perm was done, and when the old lady removed her grandmother’s scarf, there stood an adorable silver unicorn with sparkly horn. Everyone burst out laughing—even the stylist Cecy herself couldn’t help but giggle. Turned out, the little girl had been describing her dream unicorn while falling asleep during the procedure.
4. While getting her hair styled, one customer asked Cecy if she’d ever seen the strange lights above the shop's neon sign. Cecy shook her head with a smile and said, ‘They’re just old wiring, darlin’. But every now and then, when it’s really windy outside, they do seem to dance like little ghosts.’ The regular laughed, nodding towards the sign as he left. And from that day on, whenever anyone mentioned those mysterious lights, Cecy would wink and say, ‘Oh yes, our friendly neighborhood spirits are out tonight!’
